OUR MISSION

As you all know, friendship meant everything to Natalia. Whether you were Natalia’s neighbour, new or old or if she met you in kindergarten, grade school, summer camp, high school, college or if you were a new “BFF” from her large social network, she held on to the friendship and cherished it. No one was insignificant to Natalia. Each friendship, new or old held a special place in her heart. We, her family, always knew our Nati was somebody very special, so kind and loving but it is especially heartwarming for us to hear your stories and anecdotes about Natalia. We have learned how loved she is by all of you, how friendly she was, sparking up the first conversation that would be segue to a long lasting friendship. Natalia was known to be very supportive of her friends, defending them, consistently offering help and support, never judging just listening and as so many of you have said, “she always had my back”. For these reasons, those of us at The Natalia Elizondo Foundation have made it our mission to make sure that her legacy is carried on through charitable donations.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

The very first benefactor of The Natalia Elizondo Foundation was an anti-bullying organization, #ItsCoolToHaveAnAccent. This is an organization that was created to stop bullying in schools. Bullying is something that Natalia once experienced in her childhood and was firmly against. In fact, #ItsCoolToHaveAnAccent is planning to speak at the school Natalia attended for grade seven and eight to educate the children about the serious consequences of bullying. A psychologist will speak to the children, in a kind and inspirational way to educate them and make them aware of the everlasting pain that stays with children who experience bullying. The children will learn about Natalia and what an important person she is to all of us.

Together we are spreading Natalia’s love and friendship to a new generation of children. We all do this, together in loving memory of our angel Natalia. The love and friendship that you share with Natalia and with us, her family is something that we appreciate and forever cherish.
